Most Expensive Domain Name Now Officially The Most Expensive Domain in the world

The recent sale of, brokered by domain marketplace operator Sedo, has resulted in a Guinness World Record for “most expensive internet address domain name”. was sold for $13 million by Escom to Clover Holdings on 17 November 2010.

Needless to say, the Guinness World Record will only further strengthen the notion of being the most valuable domain name on the Internet, although we should note that there’s always a slight chance a higher price for another domain name was paid at some point, in a private transaction.
